Our relationship with architecture begins at home: the progression of light throughout the day, the rituals of bathing, cooking, and dining, and the quality and tenor of the time we spend, whether alone or with family. Waechter Architecture’s earliest works were compact and efficient house projects—many on challenging sites—that helped refine our design vision and project approach. In the years since, we’ve completed a wide range of award-winning single-family residences, duplexes, and accessory dwellings (ADUs), as well as an expanding range of innovative multifamily and affordable housing communities.
Notable projects include the recently completed Meadow House in Eugene, the iconic Tower House and Origami development in Portland, and Rockwood Village affordable housing in Gresham, Oregon.
