ON THE BOARDS: MADISON HOUSE

The Madison House is conceived as a layering of terraced hardscape walls and lush, airy gardens. Clad completely in brick, the house is substantial yet quiet backdrop to the neighborhood. Classic gridded proportions don each facade as a mod to the historic house that once occupied the site. The interior is composed of a series of volumes defined by thickened walls with deep, generous openings. Madison is at once grounded, private, soft, and restrained.
